We all have aches and pains. I am here to provide a safe and accepting environment in which you can relax and heal through bodywork. I believe in working cooperatively with my clients, occasionally asking questions to gain insight as we work. My process involves discovering how your stress and pain came to exist in the first place. I believe that we can eliminate many issues through bodywork and by developing a stronger awareness of the body and self.
Why I do what I do:
I believe strongly in the transformative power of healing touch. Human touch holds amazing potential and creates a world of possibilities for healing physically, mentally, and emotionally.
A little bit about me:
A true midwesterner to the core, I have lived in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota. I have called the Twin Cities home for over 15 years. After receiving degrees in psychology and women's studies, I changed course to follow my true passion: anatomy and the human body. With my education from Center Point Massage & Shiatsu school, I now enjoy untangling the mysteries of the physical body in my private practice where I pride myself in providing a safe, comfortable and accepting space for all bodies to receive thoughtful and compassionate care. When not practicing bodywork, I enjoy creating mixed-media artwork, taking photographs, traveling and helping to run a local, social justice-based theater company that I co-founded in 2006.
